GO PANTHERS! 

The Discovery Band and Chorus programs traveled this past weekend to Orlando to compete in the Orlandofest competition - and came home with some hardware! 

All groups  (Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Chorus and Indoor Drumline) received superior ratings with great compliments from the judges! The bands AND the chorus received first place in their categories! 
Emma Payne received an Outstanding Soloist award for her clarinet solo in the Symphonic Band's performance of Under the Ice! 

Discovery Middle School received the Esprit De Corps Award for the students' dedication, spirit and camaraderie! The director also emphasized their compassion and helpful attitudes from the weekend! We were very proud of these students for this!! 
We could not be more proud of how they represented Discovery!  Thank you all for your support and encouragement -- allowing us and these students this opportunity created memories of a lifetime!
