National Junior Honor Society Application Process

Any 8th grader interested in joining the National Junior Honor Society, please complete the online interest form no later than Wednesday, September 16th. From this point, students who meet the 90% grade requirement will receive an online application via MCS email on Wednesday, September 23rd.

NJHS

Meeting Attendance:
Meetings are held (typically) the first Thursday of each month at 3:30 p.m. in the library. We know that you have A LOT going on after school. If you can't make it to the meeting, it's OKAY! Just read the Meeting Minutes posted in Schoology and complete the Attendance Form (located in the Minutes folder). You will be counted present!

National Junior Honor Society

If you are interested in joining the Panther Pride Chapter of NJHS at Discovery Middle school:

  • 8th graders are eligible to apply for membership in September.  Students must submit the online interest form when it is posted and have a 90 GPA.  After grades are checked, students who meet the 90 GPA will be sent an application via their MCS email. This online application must be submitted by the given deadline.  They will be evaluated by their teachers (7th grade teachers and current 8th grade teachers). 
  • 7th graders are eligible to apply for membership in December. Students must submit the online interest form when it is posted and have a 90 GPA.  After grades are checked, students who meet the 90 GPA will be sent an application via their MCS email. This must be submitted by the given deadline. They will be evaluated by their teachers. Acceptance letters will be emailed to students.
