Bio

Laura Collins:

I am an educator with professional teaching experience in both secondary schools and higher education.

I have an educational background in curriculum and instruction, with significant experience in math education, educational technology, ELL education and instructional design.

My career focus is on developing and sharing new strategies to effectively instruct and assess students in a way which will increase student learning and achievement. Venues of experience include developing curriculum, mentoring teachers, teaching math and computer technology in public schools, teaching college education courses, and conducting research in regards to learning theory and its application in the classroom.

I am married and have one child who is eight years old. He is the light of my life -- he is such a character! My family enjoys road trips, swimming, playing board games, playing video games, participating in church activities and spending time with our four (yes, four!) cats.
