Bio

I am the Middle School Choral Director for Madison City Schools! I serve both Liberty & Discovery. I have been teaching general and vocal/choral music for 20+ years. I have taught private voice and piano lessons, provided vocal coaching for theatre productions and pageants, judged talent competitions, directed church choirs and been a praise & worship leader.

I also love sports. You'll always find me watching football in the fall. Roll Tide Roll! I'm not only musical; I'm also athletic (or used to be). I was in the band and choir, played (and later coached) volleyball and was a cheerleader. I still love to work out and have recently taken up running (s-l-o-w-l-y!).

I have one son, Alex, who is a 30 year old college graduate with a degree in Theatre Performance. He is multi-talented as an actor, singer, dancer, set builder/designer and student director. Currently Alex lives and works in the Birmingham area. He formerly worked for Missoula Children's Theatre (Montana). He traveled all over the U.S. and abroad. He spent summer 2013 on tour in the UK and Portugal and part of the Spring 2014 in Guam teaching children and putting on productions on military bases. I'm proud of him! Can you tell?

I love life! I love music! I love performing! I love people--especially students! We will work hard and learn a lot this year, but we will ALWAYS make it fun, active and engaging! The CHOIR will be a team - a tight-knit musical team - using our voices to sound enjoyable, entertaining, successful. We will make friends at our school, our commuity and beyond. We will be leaders and role models. We will be current AND historic. WOW!!! I can't wait! Easy??? No way! Worth it??? You bet! Spread the word; Choir is the place to be!
